Materials Needed for the Course

Memory Art Collage Painting is a creative course that focuses on using mixed media to create personalized pieces of art. Throughout this course, students will learn various techniques and methods to incorporate memories and emotions into their artwork. To fully immerse in this process, it is important to have the right materials at hand.

Some essential materials needed for the course include: acrylic paints, different types of paper (such as tissue paper, scrapbook paper, and old photographs), glue, scissors, paint brushes, and a canvas or paper to create the collage on. These materials will help students express themselves through color, texture, and composition. Additionally, having personal mementos or objects that hold sentimental value can further enhance the emotional connection to the artwork.

Key Lesson Concepts:

  • Acrylic paints (I will be demonstrating with, white, black, light yellow, dark yellow, turquoise, cobalt blue, aqua green, kelly green, magenta, and orange)
